Before I found Domestic Abuse Feet, I was living in a home with no bathroom rugs, exposed nail heads in the hallway, and a partner who owned a Dalmatian with claws like a mountain lion. Now, thanks to DAF, I can walk to the refrigerator at 2am in complete darkness and not step on a single thing. I wept.
I didn't know LEGO abuse was real until a DAF counselor showed me the literature. After DAF intervened, I can eat soup in my chair while watching my stories on the TV and not once worry that my feet will get injured on the way back from the kitchen. That is living.
